May 2001 Meeting
The May 14th meeting will be held at the home of Henry & Nancy Hamlin. Henry & Nancy will share slides of a mountainous bicycle trip in Portugal and Ted Brewer will share his ascents of Mera Peak, Island Peak and Amphu Lapsa Pass in the Nepalese Himalayas. Ted linked up with Al Burgess’s Camp 5 Expeditions. If you like the splendor of Himalayan ranges, this one’s for you.
Refreshments will be provided by the hosts. Plan now to attend and socialize with the Rochester climbing gang.
Directions to their place
Their home is at 1490 East Av. in The Crescent, Rochester, NY.
This is a semi-circle of townhouses located on the north side of East Avenue between Culver Road and Winton Road. Right next door to Valley Manor and almost directly across the street from the Academy of Medicine. Each unit has its own number (they are 1490) and they are one to the left of dead center. Park in the circle. The Crescent is marked by a pair of brick pillars–enter between them and go around the circle.
