April Meeting

The RRISCC April meeting is scheduled to be held at Stu Milligan’s home on Monday the 10th at 7:30 pm.  Doug Wall will once again show his slides of the Polish Glacier route on Cerro Aconcagua.  Due to a stormy weather night during the February meeting at Doug’s home, only one person was willing and able to get over to Doug’s house.  So, we’ll repeat Doug’s excellent slides along the Vacas and Relinchos rivers and the upper reaches of this massive mountain, high point in the western and southern hemispheres.  Stu & Jason Milligan will share their aborted climb of the same mountain via the Horcones river route (the standard route) and successful climb of Cerro Bonete just across the Horcones valley from Aconcagua.  They will also share their camcorder videotape.

Directions to Stu’s place – address is 35 Devonshire Ct. in the city of Rochester:

If coming from I-390, get off at the Chili Avenue exit and turn left toward the city. You will go over the canal bridge almost immediately. Go through three lights (hopefully not while they’re red) and go one block short of the fourth light (Gardiner Pk on the left and Thurston Rd. on the right), then turn right on Salina St. & follow Salina to the end, which literally dumps into my driveway. My house is the yellow and white one. If coming some other way, you’re on your own.

Hope you can make this southern-hemisphere theme evening, which is visually brought to you from the Argentine & Chilean Andes.

Stu Milligan
