Stu Milligan
Topic
a successful climb of Mt. Blanc with his younger brother in the Chamonix, France area

We plan to meet at the home of Stu Milligan on November 8th at 7:30 pm.  Stu will share his slides of a successful climb of Mt. Blanc with his younger brother in the Chamonix, France area.  The French call this La Dame Blanche (the white lady).  It is the highest mountain in western Europe weighing in at a little under 15,800 feet.  This is an older climb of Stu’s and not done recently, but it does highlight the spectacular terrain of that mountain region.  Dress warmly as Stu’s home is generally on the cold side this time of year.

Directions To Stu’s house at 35 Devonshire Ct., Rochester
If coming from I-390, get off at the Chili Avenue exit and turn left (east) toward the city. You will go over the canal bridge almost immediately. Go through three lights (hopefully not while they’re red) and go one block short of the fourth light which is (Gardiner Pk. on the left and Thurston Rd. on the right), turn right onto Salina St. & follow Salina to the end, which literally dumps into his driveway. The house is the yellow and white one.  If going west down Chili Av., turn left one block after the Thurston interchange onto Salina St.  If coming down Thurston Rd., turn left one big block before the Thurston-Chili interchange onto Devonshire Ct. and go a few houses to where Salina St. comes in from the right – house is on the left side.   If coming some other way, you’re on your own.
