September 2002 Meeting
The September 8th meeting will be held at the home of Lisa. Notice that we will be meeting off our normal schedule of Monday evening. The 8th is a Sunday evening.
Dick Herbison will present his recent trip to Alaska by sharing visuals, no doubt by pc projection. Dick’s digital photography is known to be of high quality. This will be worth seeing! It will be a travelog with rock climbing and hiking thrown into the mix.
Annual dues are also due, since the fiscal year now runs from September through August. So, members – be prepared to pay the $10/year dues at that time. We have money in the treasury to bring in an outside presenter, so if anyone has a concrete suggestion, now’s the time to bring forth those ideas.
Refreshments will be provided by the host. Hope you can be there.

Directions to Lisa’s place
Take I-390 south bound. Drive about twenty miles south to exit #9, which is Lakeville and Livonia. Turn left onto route 15 going south. Go about 1 mile and take the right fork onto route 256 towards Letchworth State Park and Dansville, New York. Continue south bound about another mile on route 256 until you reach the signal that crosses route 20A, then cross 20A and continue south on route 256. From that crossing, go about 3.5 to 4 miles south to her driveway on the left at 4681 West Lake road (which is still route 256 but called West Lake road). Some useful landmarks to watch for as you approach on West Lake road/route 256 occur when you pass Sacket Harbor and Eagle Point. When you pass Reservoir road you are about 1/2 mile from her driveway. Slow down when you see a yellow road sign indicating a left curve ahead. Her driveway is hidden, but will come up on the left immediately. The numbers on the mailbox are 4_81, because the six is faded. The numbers are on the garage, but you won’t see these until you are at the driveway and facing it. If you pass the driveway, don’t feel bad, Lisa says most everyone does this the first time there and has to turn around. If you reach Long Point, you’ve gone too far. The driveway is easy to spot coming from the other direction.
